Brandon “Serenading N Saxie” is an award-winning saxophonist, DJ, and sound technician with a rich musical background. A graduate of Hertford County High School, he received the prestigious Semper Fidelis Award for Music from the U.S. Marine Corps. At North Carolina A&T, he performed with the renowned Cold Steel Drumline, Jazz Ensemble, and Concert Band.
Brandon has been first chair tenor saxophonist for the HBCU Band Directors Consortium and a featured member of both the HBCU All-Star Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble.
As a solo artist and band member, he performs with a variety of groups including The Multiple Intelligence Band, The Carpenters Shop Worship Team, The Black and Blue Experience, The After Party Experience, and more.
Notable performances include the John Coltrane Jazz Festival, the Black Theatre Festival, and civil rights tribute “Bullet Holes In The Wall.” He has shared the stage with icons like Delfeayo Marsalis, Flava Flav, and Robert Trowers, and opened for artists such as Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Keyshia Cole, and Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC’s.
